VIDEA is my favourite non-profit! They 100% live their values of being a feminist, human rights-based organization. I am very proud to be a member of VIDEA’s board of directors. I want the world to be better, more just, and more sustainable for my kids. The type of work VIDEA does is helping to build that world. So I am excited to be participating again in their annual fundraising campaign, the Global Solidarity Challenge!

    But why should YOU donate?

    • Because you’ll be empowering youth: VIDEA has many by-youth, for-youth programs, like Indigenous Wellness Wednesdays, a Black-youth-led anti-racism program, and an International Youth Conference bringing together young people from around the world.
    • Because you’ll be supporting climate justice: climate change disproportionately affects the most marginalized communities. VIDEA’s climate justice program engages Indigenous youth in Canada to create and share solutions with their own communities.
    • Because they need funds: VIDEA has grown a lot in the last few years and is doing more good, important work than ever. But they still rely heavily on funding contracts for specific programs, which means that there isn’t a lot of security for staff, or ability to respond to urgent issues and needs as they arise. The donations they raise through the Global Solidarity Challenge are crucial for their ability to continue doing incredible, inspiring work!

Thank you so much for considering a donation! I am grateful 💛
